Climbing and hiking holidays are very popular for the fit and hardy, you can find a cottage or a cosy wooden chalet on the side of Snowdonia or the Scottish Highlands, and if you don’t like the mountains the Yorkshire Dales are perfect for walking.

If you want to venture further a field you can travel by ferry over to France you will need your car due to the long distances you may have to travel,it can be harrowing at times unless you are used to driving on the right side of the road.
